Tour Plan

• day 01 Marrakech → Boumalne Dades
  • Early morning departure from Marrakech.
  • Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m).
  • Stop at Aït Benhaddou Kasbah (UNESCO site, famous filming location).
  • Continue through Ouarzazate (optional visit of Cinema Studios or Taourirt Kasbah).
  • Drive the “Road of 1000 Kasbahs” through Skoura and the Valley of Roses.
  • Arrive at Boumalne Dades in the late afternoon.
  • Overnight in riad/hotel overlooking the Dades Valley & gorges.
• day 02 Boumalne Dades → Merzouga
  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Scenic drive through Berber villages to Todra Gorge – 300m canyon walls, great photo stop.
  • Continue via Tinjdad and Erfoud (known for fossils).
  • Arrive at Merzouga (Erg Chebbi dunes) in the afternoon.
  • Camel trek into the dunes at sunset.
  • Overnight in a desert camp (standard or luxury, with dinner & music by the fire).
• day 03 Merzouga → Fes
  • Wake up early for sunrise over the dunes.
  • Breakfast, then depart Merzouga.
  • Drive through the Ziz Valley (palm groves, gorges).
  • Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains via Midelt (lunch stop).
  • Pass by cedar forests with monkeys, and the town of Ifrane (nicknamed “Little Switzerland”).
  • Evening arrival in Fes.
